What is IELTS
The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is designed to test the English language proficiency of individuals who are looking to study or work or migrate to countries where English is the primary language.
IELTS exam is conducted worldwide by British Council, UK and IDP, Australia. This test is available in two formats, Academic and General.
Academic IELTS – This test is designed if you are applying for higher education or professional registration in English speaking countries. It assesses the test-taker’s ability to engage with academic language and settings.
General IELTS – This test is designed for individual migrating to Australia, Canada or the UK, this test evaluates English language in general context, focusing on everyday language skills necessary for social and workplace communication.
The IELTS exam structure allows for multiple attempts, enabling candidates to retake the test as often as needed to achieve their desired band score. The flexibility of scheduling, with tests conducted four to five times each month, further accommodates the test-taker’s preparation and planning. Importantly, the validity of IELTS scores extends for two years from the test date, providing a window for application to various institutions and immigration processes.

The IELTS fee for the Academic and General Training exam has been updated to INR 17,000.
You can pay for your IELTS test by using your credit card/debit card, net banking, e-wallets, cash payment at ICICI Bank or through a Demand Draft (DD), UPI.
There are more than 75 test centers in all major cities, and you can choose the one which is nearer to you.
IELTS is offered several times a year and on specific days of the year. The schedule can be accessed depending on the city you which to appear via link below by following the given link www.ielts.org.
Whether you appear for the online or offline version, your scores will be released within a week for online results or 13 days for offline results.
The IELTS score is valid for 2 years from the date of test.
If a registered candidate fails to appear for their IELTS exam, they are deemed an absentee and will not be eligible for any refund.
You can re-sit your IELTS exam whenever you are ready.
Yes, you are eligible for a refund in the event of cancellation but with certain conditions. Test cancellation requests are accepted if made at least 15 days before the test or with supporting documents for tests within 15 to 34 days or for offline payments. Upon approval, refunds, minus administrative fees, are processed within 8-10 business days.
